I am happy to travel anywhere within a sixty mile radius of my home in Oxfordshire
& can visit at a mutually convenient time during daytimes, evenings or Saturdays (depending on the distance to be travelled).
This takes place in the comfort of your own home.
It is the place where you spend most time with your dog/s and where the signals that he/she/they receive from you will form the basis of the behaviour that you experience.
The consultation focuses on taking the time to look at life from your dog's perspective. We tend to fall into the trap of assuming that just because we understand what we do, and why we do it, that it will also make sense to our dogs.
However, this is frequently not the case and actually the things that we do can invariably cause them confusion.
During the consultation I will show how that confusion can arise and how you can change the signals that you are giving, to ones that make more sense to your dog/s. Giving them a clearer understanding of your leadership capabilities will allow them to feel more confident and relaxed, regardless of what situation they find themselves in.
Most importantly, whatever breed of dog you have, it is never too late to start. We are not trying to 'teach an old dog new tricks', we are putting in place something that they can all more clearly understand.
So, whether your dog is twelve months old, or twelve years, a chihuahua or a St. Bernard, you can help him/her to relax, to the benefit of the whole family.
After the consultation you can contact me for more free help and advice when ever you need it. It is my role to keep you feeling confident, in order that you can, over time, convince your dog/s that the behaviour that they previously felt was necessary, is now no longer needed.
"I have had dogs all my life, including Rottweilers and Dobermans, but none taxed me like Ollie a rescue Beagle, who was 5 months old when I took him in.
Since Andrew's visit Ollie is a different dog. He used to bark non stop and Andrew helped me and showed me kind ways to stop him and although he is still a 'barker', it is nothing like it was and is improving all the time. He also had separation anxiety, but that has completely subsided.
Andrew has a kind, understanding and calm disposition and explains everything in great detail. I would recommend his services to anyone with a problem dog."

"We found Andrew's advice to be extremely useful and effective. His calm manner is easy to relate to and he dedicated a great deal of time to us. We have phoned him several times since our initial meeting and found him equally helpful. Our dog is much calmer and happier. Andrew is clearly an expert in this field."
L & P Sexton, Carterton, Oxon
"I have learnt a lot about my dog and understand more how to react. Since Andrew's visit Charlie's behaviour has improved so much. We still have a long way to go, but without Andrew this would have got worse. I would recommend his service to other dog owners."
